Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-19

PDF Crisp (pdfcrisp.com) is a free set of online PDF tools — compress, merge, split, and more — that run in your web browser. This page explains what data is and isn't collected when you use the site.

Your documents never leave your device

All document processing happens entirely in your browser using your device's own capabilities. The documents you choose are never uploaded to, sent to, or stored on any server — there is no upload step, and the tools keep working even with a very limited connection once the page has loaded.

Cookies, storage and analytics

PDF Crisp itself sets no first-party cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. The site uses temporary in-browser storage (IndexedDB) for one purpose only: when you send a finished document from one tool to another, the document is handed over locally on your device and cleared after it is read. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard request logs — such as IP address and user agent — to serve and secure the site.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. These third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Your choices

You can disable cookies in your browser settings and use browser extensions to block ads or trackers. The PDF tools will continue to work either way.

Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
